In the fall of 2022, I completed a user interface design course through DesignLab. The course covered essential UX/UI principles, UX integration, and practical techniques for creating effective, user-friendly designs. I explored topics such as color, typography, layouts, prototyping, and asset handoff, while learning to balance aesthetics and usability to enhance the overall user experience.

Duplicate an Interface

The first project in the course involved duplicating an interface by replicating a screen from a familiar app. I chose to replicate a wireframe from my Spotify music app. This exercise sharpened my attention to detail and revealed subtle design choices, helping me explore layout, typography, and element interactions.

Designing an Application Concept

Throughout the course, we developed a polished design for a single application concept, creating 3–5 screens that enable users to log in, navigate the main screen, and complete key interactions on both desktop and mobile.

I designed an app called When2Meet, a meeting room scheduler that helps users efficiently book one of six office meeting rooms while addressing challenges such as room size and availability. I also created a branding package, logo, and selected fonts to emphasize a clean, polished look and ensure the app is easy to navigate.
