The Center for Injury Research, Translation, & Communication is made to connect public health professionals to tools, resources, training, and more, all relating to health and science communication.

I was tasked with creating the program’s branding package and logo.

Building a Brand

When creating CIRTC, my team was hopeful that the content could have the ability to reach professionals from many different fields and career stages. I wanted to create something that was inviting, approachable, and clean.

I landed on a stacked logo with three sound waves coming from the ‘CIRTC’ acronym. These were made to represent good communication. I picked a color scheme that had a wide range of colors, but could also be used together. This was intended for the possibility to give different slides, graphics, or subtopics a signature color.

I was also tasked with picking brand fonts that would be used in the logo and on the website. I picked two sans serif fonts (Poppins and Cabin) and one serif font (Scope One) to compliment each other.
